I joined the Kodi Connect Advisory Board because I believe technology leaders have a responsibility to contribute beyond their own organizations, particularly as AI, data governance, and cloud modernization reshape how public institutions serve citizens. Over the past decade, I've architected national-scale data frameworks that ensure fiscal transparency and operational resilience for state government, and I've mentored cross-functional teams through more than a thousand technical sessions. One major trend is the shift toward AI-native technology ecosystems, where organizations move beyond simple automation and begin redesigning platforms, data pipelines, and governance models around AI itself. In large, regulated environments like state government, this means architecture, identity, data protection, and responsible-AI governance all have to evolve together. The future will not just be about securing infrastructure — it will be about securing AI models, agents, data flows, and automated decision-making at scale.
- How are you preparing your organization for what's next in technology?
I take an architecture-first, platform-led approach: building strong foundations across cloud, data, cybersecurity, and AI governance before layering on emerging capabilities. In my work architecting statewide financial, HR, and workforce analytics systems, I focus on how generative AI and advanced analytics can solve real operational problems — while ensuring privacy, compliance, human oversight, and fiscal transparency are designed in from the start, not added on afterward.
- What does "digital resilience" mean to you in today's tech landscape?
Digital resilience means an organization's ability to keep operating, adapting, and recovering as technology, security, and business conditions change. It goes beyond uptime or disaster recovery — it includes secure architecture, data protection, observability, incident response, and the ability to modernize legacy systems without disrupting mission-critical operations. In a public-sector, AI-driven environment, digital resilience also means ensuring the intelligent systems we build are explainable, monitored, and governed, since the stakes involve public trust and taxpayer accountability, not just business continuity.
