- What motivates you to attend Kodi Connect events?
I value conversations where people share what changed their thinking, not just what worked. The most useful executive insight often comes from understanding which assumptions failed, what signals were missed, and what someone would do differently today.
- If you were explaining the value of our events to a first-time attendee, what would you say makes them worth their time?
Come with one difficult problem, not ten networking goals. The value is access to people who may have already encountered a different version of the problem you are facing. One unexpected perspective can be more valuable than dozens of new contacts.
- How do you balance security, innovation, and speed in a fast-moving environment?
I do not treat security, innovation, and speed as three competing priorities. The goal is to make the safe path the fastest path. When security is embedded into platforms, architecture, and engineering guardrails, teams can experiment quickly without renegotiating risk every time they build something new.
- What technology or trend do you believe will redefine your industry in the next five years?
The bigger shift will not be AI generating more content or code. It will be AI gaining bounded authority to make operational decisions. In supply chains, that means systems that can detect a disruption, evaluate tradeoffs, reroute inventory, adjust promises, and learn from the outcome. The competitive advantage will come from deciding which decisions machines can make independently and which must remain human.
- How do you decide when to adopt a new technology versus waiting for it to mature?
I look at the cost of being wrong in both directions. Most organizations evaluate the risk of adopting too early but underestimate the cost of learning too late. If a technology is easy to reverse and gives us valuable learning, I prefer an early, contained experiment. If the decision creates deep architectural dependency or is difficult to unwind, the evidence bar should be much higher.
Kodi Connect Key Takeaways:
- AI is evolving from an assistive tool into an autonomous decision-making capability: The next phase of enterprise AI will move beyond generating content and code toward bounded AI agents that can make operational decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and respond to disruptions. In supply chain management, this could enable intelligent systems to optimize inventory, reroute resources, and adapt to changing conditions while keeping critical decisions under human oversight.
- Secure-by-design architecture enables faster innovation: Security, innovation, and speed do not have to compete when cybersecurity is embedded directly into platforms, architecture, and engineering guardrails. By making the secure path the fastest path, organizations can accelerate AI adoption and technology experimentation while maintaining enterprise security and managing risk.
- Strategic technology adoption requires balancing innovation with reversibility: Technology leaders should evaluate both the risk of adopting too early and the cost of learning too late. Low-risk, reversible technologies can be tested through contained experiments, while solutions that create significant architectural dependencies require stronger evidence before adoption.
